You've been busy getting everything ready for baby at home; the nursery, the car seat, the stroller. Now it's time to pack your hospital bag. What little goodies are you going to bring with you?

Here are a few ideas to get you started. And as a bonus, they are all sources from small business here in the Lower Mainland! Throw this little gem of a body balm into your bag because it is a lifesaver in the dry hospital! It does it all. Use it on your dry hands, lips...it even doubles as a nipple cream. Anything that does double duty is a win in our books!

Another little wonder by K'pure. Soap and water is always best, but when you are in the hospital with a new baby, you want something quick and convenient to clean your hands while you're recovering and it's not always easy to get up and down. This cleanser is formulated so it doesn't dry out your hands but the best thing about it are the delicious scents. Grapefruit/Cinnamon/Clove or Sweet Orange/Peppermint.

What is better than a sweet new baby wrapped in a beautiful matching set?

Local Baby Boutique, Active Baby, carries lots of special blankets. These Copper Pearl sets are among our favorites. Beautiful designs, large size and extra stretch make these swaddles hard to beat. But check out all of their other options, no doubt you will find something that you fall in love with. Your little one will look so cute and stylish all wrapped up, and chances are they will have a favorite blanket well into toddlerhood.
